I am glad to hear you are doing better, Mabel. Wishing you the best.
Thank you so much for the kind thoughts, Treasure. I am doing better today. I hope you are well also.
Hi Mabel--just letting you know you are in my thoughts and prayers! Standing with you!
Thank you everyone for your kind support and encouraging words. This past week has been hard. I have been more tired than usual and just feeling down. I think one of my problems is really that I just eat too much salt. Today I plan to go to the grocery store to buy some fresh vegetables and Mrs. Dash (Thank you Kenneth for the suggestion). I will update later. I hope everyone has a blessed day.
Standing with you, Mabel!
I also have a weak heart (I don't like the term "heart failure"!) and being a salt lover, I was also worried I wouldn't be able to stick to a low salt diet. But one thing saved me: MRS. DASH. If you haven't already---go buy it! Ever since I started using it on my dishes, I haven't really missed the salt.
By the way, you are NOT alone when you say you feel lost. I did too. But then you find some supportive people and it's not so bad anymore. Best wishes, Ken
Hello Mabel,
I am sorry to hear that you were recently hospitalized and left with a new diagnosis. That's how I felt when I was hospitalized for a diabetic coma (before then I didn't even know I had diabetes). I was discharged with some meds and instructions but I was confused and really didn't know what to do. However, getting support from other people who lived with diabetes helped, and I think it will help you too, so I'm glad you shared your story here. Hopefully there will be someone who can give you some practical advice about your diagnosis. Wishing you all the best.
Carl
